Just north of San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge, is gorgeous Marin County. In Marin County, there is a small Northern California city called Mill Valley. The town is charming, and reminiscent of a European town with its relaxed pace and unique shops and businesses.

Mill Valley residents enjoy the convenience of a high-end San Franciscan suburb that has an earthy and artsy appeal. With only about 15,000 residents, most people agree they reside in Mill Valley for its facilities and the opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city in the Bay Area.

If there was a heart of Mill Valley, it would be Mt. Tamalpais. This beautiful mountain is rich with folklore and history dating back to the original Native American inhabitants. Affectionately known as Mt. Tam, this mountain covers roughly 25,000 acres and crests 2,571 ft. above sea level. Mt. Tam attracts more than a half million visitors every year who flock to the area for camping, hiking, horseback riding, and year-round outdoor fun. Atop Mt. Tam is the open-air amphitheater, the Cushman Memorial Theater. Mt. Tamalpais is the pride and joy of Mill Valley residents who are proud of its majestic presence and its ability to remind them of the unique connection between man and nature.
