Tamalpais is the pride and joy of Mill Valley residents who are proud of its majestic presence and its ability to remind them of the unique connection between man and nature.

In keeping with this small city's natural appeal, Mill Valley is home to many parks abundant in plant species and wildlife. A visit to one of these wilderness areas might garner you a glimpse of a bobcat, fox, various deer species and possibly an elusive mountain lion. Bird watching is very popular in Mill Valley as its parks are home to more than 150 bird species.
